Phase I study of patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) treated with vesigenurtacel-L (HS-410) after Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG)

چکیده
Background Vesigenurtacel-L (HS-410), consists of an allogeneic bladder cancer cell line, selected for high expression of a series of tumor antigens that are known to be shared by a high proportion of bladder tumors. The cell line secretes gp96-Ig, a modified heat shock protein which delivers cellderived antigens to MHC-I via the cross-presentation pathway, leading to preferential activation of CD8+ cytotoxic T cells. Vesigenurtacel-L was evaluated in a Phase I trial after treatment with standard of care induction BCG for safety and immune response.

A Phase I/II study of vesigenurtacel-l (hs-410) or placebo in combination with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) in patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC)
Background Vesigenurtacel-L is an allogeneic cell-based therapeutic cancer vaccine that was selected based on its expression of a range of tumor antigens (surviving, LAGE-1, MAGE-A3, MAGE-A11, PRAME and others) that are known to be expressed amongst a high proportion of primary bladder tumors. The parental cell line was transfected with an engineered secretable heat shock protein, gp96-Ig, whic...
متن کاملAssociation of Polymorphisms in Oxidative Stress Genes with Clinical Outcomes for Bladder Cancer Treated with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin
Genetic polymorphisms in oxidative stress pathway genes may contribute to carcinogenesis, disease recurrence, treatment response, and clinical outcomes. We applied a pathway-based approach to determine the effects of multiple single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within this pathway on clinical outcomes in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients treated with Bacillus Calmette-Guéri...
متن کاملp53 Status Correlates with the Risk of Recurrence in Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancers Treated with Bacillus Calmette–Guérin: A Meta-Analysis
OBJECTIVE Published studies have yielded inconsistent results on the relationship between p53 status and the prognosis of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) treated with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) intravesical therapy. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the prognostic value of p53 in NMIBC treated with BCG. METHODS We systematically searched for relevant literatur...
متن کاملGenetic variants in the inflammation pathway as predictors of recurrence and progression in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer treated with Bacillus Calmette–Guérin
Inflammation plays a critical role in the etiology of several cancers and may affect their clinical outcome. Our objective was to assess the association of genetic variants within the inflammation pathway with recurrence and progression among non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients with or without Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) treatment. We genotyped 372 single nucleotide polymorph...
متن کاملIs Intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin Therapy Superior to Chemotherapy for Intermediate-risk Non-muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer?: An Ongoing Debate
The objective of this study was to evaluate the risk of recurrence in patients with intermediate-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) after intravesical instillation with chemotherapeutic agents or Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) therapy. A cohort of 746 patients with intermediate-risk NMIBC comprised the study group. The primary outcome was time to first recurrence. The recurrence ra...
